Back in the wild-west days of the original dotcom internet boom, we were founders and designers of the UKs first stand-up comedy website. We have moved on since then to more stable markets. However, we still like to keep in touch with and provide design and web services for numerous clients from the entertainment industry. These clients include stand-up comedians, best selling authors and their publishers, and television celebrities.

We are happy to be the designers and hosts of Mark Billingham's web site. Mark is the best selling author of several crime fiction novels and winner of numerous literary prizes. The site was commissioned by his publisher – Little, Brown – as part of the campaign to promote his books. The site also boasts a customised forum, which allows Mark to interact with his growing army of fans, as well video and audio elements. Click here for a closer view.

Astound Creative also designs web sites for other authors such as Simon Kernick and Natasha Cooper. Simon Kernick is another acclaimed and three times best-selling author, with several books under his belt. The site is used as a promotional tool with book reviews, news and competitions. Natasha Cooper is a world renown author with numerous books under her belt. We designed her website to promote the Trish Maguire series of novels and the website's look and feel – a dark purple legal theme, alongside atmospheric photomontages – has been created to fit in with the heroine's legal crime-fighting background. We designed the advertising material for Kenny Kramer (the 'real' Seinfeld) during his tour of Australia and numerous performances at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
