Graphic design for charities and the public sector

brochure pages

The challenges of designing for charities and public sector organisations are the same as for corporate clients – and client expectations are just as high. Branding is as important, as is creativity and accurate audience targeting. Because of the public and 'people centric' nature of these projects, many other issues – such as accessibility and accountability – come into play. And these require design solutions as effective and creative as any other.

In Melbourne we were contracted by the Association of Independent Schools of Victoria to create an identity, design and develop their website, which was launched at the beginning of 2006. The site has since grown into an important portal of information for independent school parents, schools and teachers. We have also designed and managed a number of other web and print design projects, including galleries, public art exhibitions and have put into place systems to allow employees to have direct editorial control over text, images and downloadable documents.

Astound Creative have worked for charities such as the Royal National Institute of the Blind in the UK. This has included designing accessible web pages, printed brochures, exhibition stands and multimedia projects.
